NLP & EFT

NLP & EFT are two techniques I utilize in my practice to support and effect change with clients. They are each HIGHLY effective tools for breaking through emotional walls and blocks on your path to total, optimal health.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is the science of using language to effect thoughts, core beliefs, and thereby behavior, to create a desired outcome.

The goal; achievement of your individual excellence, whatever that means to you, is established by creating a system of empowering beliefs and self-talk at a deep neurological level that replace limiting beliefs and negative self-talk. It is a mouthful to say, but simple in practice!

Clients who have experienced NLP with me say that it is like “drawing a direct line from issue to solution” in their mind. Long standing blocks and walls once up in front of achieving what they wanted or taking a next step toward success immediately came down. All of the sudden the “answers become visible and more importantly doable on a very real and deep level!

There are many techniques and processes within NLP to address different issues. Problems such as phobias can be easily cured in a single session. Deep-seated fears and traumas shift easily without the pain of reliving them. Procrastination, lack of motivation, and feelings of “being stuck” as well as many, many more, are all solved with this technique. I especially love the simplicity and elegance of this technique. I use it regularly within coaching sessions and also with folks who have non-health related issues they would like to address, such as fears, phobias, grief, getting “unstuck”, and more.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or “Tapping Technique” is a relatively new modality that has provided tens of thousands of people relief from pain, diseases and emotional issues, and helped with weight loss when nothing else would. We now know that the cause of negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system and medical research is reporting that 85% of all physical pains and diseases are caused by unresolved negative emotions. Scientific studies have shown that EFT is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress. Once the distress is reduced or removed, the body can often rebalance itself, and accelerate healing.

EFT is similar to acupuncture except you don’t use needles. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by actually tapping them with your fingertips- while you are psychologically tuned in to an issue.
